I travel quite often. Maybe we'll be in the same place.

Please start from the beginning… with Rachel Andrew

Rachel Andrew is the Managing Director of her company Edge of My Seat and author of a number of development books, she has run her own company since 2001 specialising in development, however she began her career doing something entirely different…

Note: Rachel works with Drew McLellan (who has also participated in this series).

Please feel free to leave a comment and give me some feedback, I’d be interested to hear about who you’d like me to interview and I’ll do my best to arrange it.

Enjoy.

    Holy crap! What a jouney!

This has to be the most interesting one yet... Maybe tied with Dan Rubin and that random museum work he did.

This is very interesting! For someone who's looking at starting up a media company it would be really interesting to see how a lot of these start-ups got their clients, how they built up their name and how they ran their business in a successful way. Otherwise very inspiring.

Thank you, Rachel, for sharing your very inspirational story! More questions for you:

    1. What development tools do you use in your day-to-day work to write, test, debug and deploy your code? Do you use, for example, Dreamweaver, Eclipse, Emacs, Vim, TextMate, Firebug, FirePHP, etc.

    2. I know you code both front and back end, but what would you say you code the most- HTML/CSS or Javascript or PHP/MySQL or Ruby or Python or ???

    3. What front and backend frameworks do you use- jQuery, Zend Framework, CakePHP, Rails, ???
